MY STORY

Gilles Johannes Bernard is rising from a long slumber to present you his first acoustic solo project! 

 

Hailing from Zürich, Switzerland Gilles is the son of a professional ballerina from the USA and a drummer from Switzerland. From a young age, this created a love for music and showmanship. He has a long history of performing, singing, dancing, and playing various instruments such as bass, guitar, and piano. However, Gilles' passion has always been deeply rooted in playing guitar and songwriting. 

 

Upon graduation from his international high school in Switzerland, Gilles decided to move to the U.S. to study Guitar Performance at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. After completing his Bachelors, he married his wife Adara and the couple moved back to Switzerland where they built a life and began creating music together. Since he has moved back he has created his two projects Riverwolf and Gilles the Wolf. 

 

Gilles the Wolf goes beyond playing and performance. This project is about a love of nature, self discovery and navigating the world around us. For Gilles songwriting has always been about a message, a deeper meaning or telling a story. So sit back and enjoy the journey you are about to embark upon...
